In some models of Nissan Qashqai, there is a Water in Fuel Sensor (WIFS) that is usually used in the diesel pre-filter to signal to the driver that the accumulation of water in the fuel has reached a predetermined level. In fact, if there is water in the fuel, this means that there is a drastic reduction in the lubricating capacity of the pump and injectors, and as a result, there is a risk of engine failure.
