How to unlock the locked tailgate of a Ford Ecosport?

Answer

To unlock the locked tailgate of your Ecosport you will need to fold down the rear seats and access the trunk from inside the car. You will need to remove the tailgate cover from the inside and then the right rear light which hides the lock solenoid. From there by pushing the piston you can open the tailgate, but surely you will have to replace the solenoid.
