How to Unlock the Boot of the Ford Ecosport

Model: Ford Ecosport BK, MK 1 - Years 2012-2023

If you notice that the rear boot does not open when you try to access it, follow the steps outlined below to manually unlock it. It may also be helpful to watch the tutorial video. First, access the boot from inside by folding down the rear seats. Then, locate the plastic trim panel on the inside of the boot. Just below it, you will find a shaped compartment containing screws that need to be removed to take off the panel. Once the panel is removed, you will have access to the lock from the rear side and can manually unlock it by pulling the cable.
