In the Ford Expedition, it can happen that the tailgate gets locked due to a malfunction in the corresponding lock. In this case, we can perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First of all, we open the rear doors, then we lower the backrest of the seat completely and go inside the trunk. Subsequently, we locate the central handle, detach it using a flat-tipped screwdriver, and, levering along the perimeter, separate the panel from the tailgate. At this point, we locate the lock mechanism, activate it with the screwdriver, and unlock it.
