The Maruti Ertiga is a very popular car in the Indian subcontinent, for its low price and for being suitable for families. However, it has some flaws that we have been able to see on the various forums, where people complain a lot about the noise, especially for the DDiS diesel of Fiat origin. In reality it is not the problem of the noisy engine, but of the car which practically has no soundproofing, so the noise of the engine - which is the same as that also circulates in Italy - in the passenger compartment is very loud. Another problem is the loss of engine oil, also due to the use of materials - especially in the gaskets - of very poor quality. The third problem, very much felt by Indian users, is the lack of power. The Ertiga has no turbo engine, and its displacement is underpowered for a 7-seater car. It also has 4 drum brakes and for a 7-seater car this means very long braking. Last, but not least, is the problem of the gearbox which has problems in climbing, especially from the 2nd to the 1st; not to mention the reverse which NEVER enters on the first attempt. Unfortunately, these are structural problems and it is not possible to remedy such a disaster.
