Answer

One of the problems of Honda City in this version (named Ge4) was the low ground clearance. As it was one of the best-selling cars in Southeast Asia, the problem was particularly acute due to the poor quality of the roads. With the next version this problem has been solved by lifting it off the ground. Another problem, also solved in the fourth generation, was the roll in the corners, given by the suspension that was too soft. In addition, the doors tended to fill with water, so much so that in the curves you could hear the water rinsing. There were not enough vents for this water, and in areas where it rained a lot it was rightly considered a very annoying problem, also because it then generated rust. This problem was also solved in Generation IV. In the forums we have found many complaints about the noise of the sunroof, taking a pothole or driving down bumpy roads. To tell the truth this problem occurred at very high mileage, therefore on heavily exploited machines. Another very reported problem is that of the horn, because in fact it is located in an area where it is subjected to many factors that can cause it to malfunction, which in fact happens often. Unfortunately this problem has not been solved, as the air conditioning is not very powerful; this problem is very much felt in the regions of South East Asia, where it is widespread. This problem is certainly not so widespread in Norway. Another problem is the engine belt which deteriorates long before the minimum 120,000 kilometers of its life, starting to make a very annoying thud. Unfortunately the only remedy is to change it. The last problem encountered in the forums is the infotainment system, called DigiPad, which seems to have never worked well on this version. Unfortunately, there is no remedy. Great strides have been made on the next version, but unfortunately there is little to be done on this one.
