Like every car, even from GCM Acadia, it sometimes has the problem of doors that won't close or open. In reality it is not a very recurring problem: on the forums we have found some hints, but nothing so important as to suggest a problem that occurs often. However it is important to know what to do in case of difficulty: if the door opens correctly but has problems closing, then it could be a problem with a worn latch, or broken handle cables. If the latch is simply stuck, you can fix it with simple lubricating oil, such as WD-40. For a better result, let it act for a few minutes, and then rub it with a microfiber cloth. If the mechanism remains closed when it should be open or vice versa, we ask a friend to help us: while he pulls the handle, we turn the latch, with the screwdriver, in the correct orientation. Here too WD-40 can help us. If, on the other hand, it's the handle that doesn't work, then you need to remove the panel and check the play in the cables. Maybe there's a loose screw, a frayed wire, a jammed mechanism. Check all the movement and if you can't figure it out, don't hesitate to rely on a professional. Another problem could be misaligned door hinges. Here too you have to do a visual check, because the door could sag slightly when it is open. Try cleaning the hinges, again with WD-40, and tighten the hinge screws. The problem could also be electronic. In this case you should check the central locking fuses, and also check the contacts and wiring with a multimeter.
