Many owners have complained that the drive shaft on the Fiat Croma broke in a short time (sometimes before 100,000 kilometres) and for which Fiat itself issued a recall in 2007. The only thing to do is replace it. It will be difficult to pass it off as a factory problem (Fiat turns a deaf ear). If you have good manual skills, you could get the piece for a few euros from a junkyard, making sure it's intact and have it replaced or do it yourself. If, on the contrary, you have no experience, you should go to a mechanic.
