Half Shaft Replacement Instructions

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 4, HD - Years 2006-2010
Part: Axle shaft

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheel; using pliers, remove the safety clip from the half shaft fixing nut at the centre of the hub; then unscrew the nut using a pneumatic wrench and proceed to remove the bracket fixing the suspension arm ball joint to the hub: this will allow you to extract the half shaft from the hub itself. Use a lever to pull the half shaft from the gearbox (some oil may spill out) and work backwards to install the new half shaft (you can always opt for a refurbished one).
