Replacing the Driveshaft Boot

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

This video shows how to replace the boot or the complete driveshaft. First, lift the car on a jack and remove the nuts to take off the wheel; then unscrew and remove the wheel hub. Once these steps are completed, check if you can reach and unscrew the driveshaft joint connected to the differential; if you can unscrew and remove the nuts securing the driveshaft joint to the differential, do so and pull the driveshaft out by sliding it out. Finally, you can choose to replace just the boot or the entire driveshaft.
