The video shows how to replace the alternator on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.6 diesel. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Raise the front of the vehicle and remove the lower engine cover. Loosen the tensioner with an appropriate spanner and slide off the auxiliary belt. Locate the alternator on the side of the engine, disconnect the electrical connector and the power cable. By unscrewing the mounting bolts, you can extract the alternator from its position. Place the new alternator, screw in the bolts, reconnect the cables, and remount the belt ensuring it is properly tensioned. Refit the lower cover, lower the car, and reconnect the battery. Start the engine to check proper operation.
