Replacing the Timing Belt on an Alfa Romeo 156

Replace the timing belt on an Alfa Romeo 156 if you have exceeded the mileage indicated in the manual. Remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Once these operations are completed, remove the plastic covers of the belts. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the second tensioner and slide the belt out of its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to install the tensioner roller, tension it until the correct belt tension is achieved (fit both belts). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, and tighten everything with a socket spanner. Refit the belt covers, the wheel arch liner, and the front wheel.
