Resetting the service light on the Audi A3 MK1

The control system of the Audi A3 warns us with a reminder on the instrumentation when we are about to reach the mileage scheduled for the engine oil change. After the replacement, we must reset the notification system. We sit in the driver's seat, press and hold down the button on the left, at the bottom, of the speedometer, turn the ignition key to position two, wait a few seconds and release the button, then briefly press the button on the right, at the bottom, of the tachometer, turn off the instrument panel to complete the reset.
