If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 does not work it is very likely that it is necessary to reset the system: to do this, it will be necessary to open the driver's door and go and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. Under this panel there will be the fuses, including the one that deals with the central locking: the latter will be indicated in the manual with the number 14. To reset the system, it will be necessary to remove this fuse from its housing, then insert it again or replace it with a new one from the same amperage: in this way the central locking system can be reset.

How to replace the Ford Transit key battery

Below I will explain how to replace the remote control key battery on the car, take a small screwdriver and pry the rear part of the remote control, (where there is the ring), at which point unhook the back cover and yes will have access to the compartment containing the battery. Always with the help of the small screwdriver, proceed to make the va and lift the battery out of the housing. Then take the new battery (check the type) and place it on the housing, always making sure to position it with the positive pole facing upwards. Finally, close the back cover by re-hooking it to the key.
