Audi A3 key battery replacement

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013
Part: Key

Key battery replacement of an Audi A3? We disassemble the key cover to extract the battery. We take our ignition key and go with the help of a screwdriver to pry between the two plastics until the rear cover separates. We remove the empty battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. We mount the cover part on the key remote control cover until we hear the locking click. We check the operation of the key remote control by testing the opening and closing buttons of the doors. Make sure you have closed the plastic cover well.
