How to replace the battery of the Audi A3 MK2

In this video, we will see how to replace the battery of the Audi A3 MK2: we open the front hood and the battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment. We will need to unscrew the mounting plate using a 13mm socket wrench with an extension, then we remove the plastic cover that covers the battery and disconnect the black negative terminal with a 10mm socket wrench, making sure to keep the terminal well away from the battery pole; only after that will we disconnect the red positive terminal. Now we can take the battery out of its housing, scrape the contacts with fine sandpaper to remove the oxide, then apply some copper grease to the terminals of the new battery to improve contact. We position the new battery and connect the positive terminal, then the negative one. We screw the mounting plate back in and replace the plastic cover; and that's it.
