Removing the rear bumper Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 MK 1, 8L - Years 1996-2003
Part: Rear bumper

Do we want to replace the rear bumper of the Audi A3? Let's see how the rear bumper piece is removed once the tailgate is lifted. We unscrew and tightening screws placed in the front part of the bumper (external side), remove the protection bar. We unscrew the screws located in the lower part of the bumper, then remove the screws placed on the sides of the car's stone guards. Once the bumper is free from any screws or pins, let's take it with our hands and pull it away from the body. We always check if there are any electrical cables placed inside the bumper before removing it completely.

Replacing the Engine Battery

As this is a generic operation for all types of vehicles, there is no need to specify the make or model. Begin by unscrewing the nut of the clamp located at the base of the battery; loosen the nuts of the terminals on both poles, first removing the positive pole (be careful not to touch metal parts with the terminals). Once the battery is extracted, replace it with one of similar specifications (consult the user manual) and reposition it in its housing, reconnect the terminals starting with the positive to avoid sparks, and tighten the terminal nuts to secure them. The final step is to reapply the clamp and tighten the retaining nut at the base of the battery.
