How to Replace the Key Battery in an Audi A3

When the key battery in your Audi A3 is flat, you can replace it with a simple procedure. Start by prying open the remote with a screwdriver in the slot near the keyring, as shown at minute 0:08, to remove the plastic cover under the Audi logo (on the side opposite the buttons). Using the screwdriver again, extract the CR2032 battery found just beneath the cover and replace it, inserting the new battery with the positive side facing you. Finally, reinsert the plastic cover, applying slight pressure to secure it in place.
