How to Replace the Battery in Audi A3

Today, learn how to independently replace the battery in the Audi A3 petrol vehicle, model produced from 2003 to 2013. Turn off the car and pull the handbrake, then pull the bonnet release lever and open the front bonnet; the battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment. To remove the battery, unscrew the plate using a 13 mm socket. Completely unscrew the fixing bolt and press the plastic tab to lift the battery cover. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery using a socket with an extension and 10 mm insert, and repeat the operation on the positive terminal. Remove the battery and scrape the inside of the terminals to remove the white oxide layer and prevent issues with the new battery in the long term. Insert the new battery into the bonnet and connect the positive terminal followed by the negative terminal. Refit the support plate and close the battery cover.
