At the end of the crankshaft there is the oil seal, a particular gasket that is held on a rotating pin, made of a rubber ring and held by a metal casing. Its task is to prevent the passage of air from the inside to the outside of the crankcase in the intake phase, during the piston ascent and the passage of mixture from the crankcase to the outside in the compression phase, that is when the piston goes down. Once the crankcase has been opened, the oil seal can be removed with a flat-shaped screwdriver so as to be able to remove it from its seat. When replacing it, you must be very careful not to damage the bearing behind the oil seal.

How do you adjust the clutch cable on the Kia Picanto?

To be able to adjust the clutch cable of the Kia Picanto you need to open the hood so that you have access to the components inside the engine compartment: in order to reach the cable you will need to remove some components on the right side, such as the battery and the air filter. Below them you will find the clutch cable, which will have to be adjusted by screwing or loosening the bolt placed at the end of the cable. This will make the pedal harder or softer; after the adjustment, it will be possible to assemble all the components by closing the hood.
