Replacing the Front Headlamp Bulb on the Audi A3

Follow these brief instructions to remove and replace the dipped beam bulb in the front headlamp of the Audi A3. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start by removing the plastic protective cap of the bulb; if replacing a xenon bulb, it may be necessary to remove the headlamp unit, as shown in the video. Disconnect the electrical connector of the bulb to remove it from the front headlamp, replacing it with the new one (with the same fitting); then refit the headlamp unit!
