In order to replace the rear shock absorber of the BMW F850 GS, you need to loosen the screws that attach it to its housing: this can be found in the lower rear part of the motorcycle, between the rear swingarm and the fender. To remove it from its seat, you will need to loosen the screws that hold it from the top and bottom: this way you can remove the old piece and insert the new one. After insertion, you will need to secure it with the corresponding screws to ensure it functions properly.
