The battery of the BMW R 1150 GS is located under the seat; therefore, to access it, you need to remove the upper cover and the seat. Once you have access, remove the battery cover and disconnect the terminals, starting with the negative and then the positive.

Once the terminals are removed, you can take out the battery from its housing and insert a new one. It is important that the battery has the same voltage; otherwise, you may encounter issues with the control unit. After replacing the battery, reassemble the cover and the seat.

Replacing the Rear Brake Pads of the BMW G310 GS
