You can change the engine oil on the BMW F850 GS by loosening the drain plug located at the bottom centre of the engine. It is advisable to place a container under the drain to collect the used oil. Next, you will need to remove the corresponding oil filter, which is also located in the same position, for replacement. Once all the oil has drained out, you can reinsert the drain plug, and finally, top up by pouring oil through the breather on the right side of the bike.
