To replace the battery in a BMW R 1250 RS Sport, loosen the bolts securing the cover on the right side of the bike, near the seat. Once the cover is removed, unscrew the bolts securing the cross bracket located underneath, which holds the battery. The battery should then be disconnected and removed from its housing; the new battery can then be connected to the appropriate terminals and inserted back into its housing, securing it with the bracket and the cover.
