How to replace the air filter on BMW R1200 RS

The guide shows how to replace the air filter on the BMW R 1200 RS. The air filter is located under the fuel tank, so it is necessary to remove the seats with the ignition key. With a Torx key you have to remove the plastic grip above the motorcycle logo. Always with a Torx wrench you have to remove the screws located on the side grips of the tank. At this point the upper plate of the tank can be removed by unscrewing the newly discovered screws. By unscrewing the four screws of the cover located above the tank cap and under the handlebar, the air filter is revealed. It is replaced with a new filter, taking into account the direction of intake and the protective cover is refitted.

In order to reset the Aprilia Shiver Service warning light, the instrument panel must be turned on, so that the menu can be accessed: by moving the controls to the right of the steering wheel, it will be possible to select the "Diagnostics" item. Then you will have to enter the code 12390 to access the Diagnostics menu: at this point, by selecting "Coupons reset" a confirmation screen will appear. By selecting "Yes" it will be possible to reset the maintenance intervals; once this operation has been completed, it will be possible to switch the ignition off and on again to check it.
