In this video tutorial, you will learn how to replace the engine oil and oil filter while performing the routine maintenance service on the BMW R1200 RT motorcycle. First, place your motorcycle on the centre stand and begin to unscrew the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then, use the appropriate spanner to unscrew the oil filter cartridge, replacing it with a new one (screw it in by hand and tighten gently).

Finally, unscrew the filler cap and pour in the new engine oil, filling it up to the maximum level mark!
