To replace the spark plug on a BMW R 1200 GS, loosen the nuts securing the pipes on the left side of the bike to gain easier access to the components underneath. Here, you will find the cover that contains the spark plug, which needs to be opened by removing its upper cover. Once the cover is opened, you can remove the old spark plug using a socket wrench and insert a new one. After the new spark plug is installed, reassemble all the components that were previously removed.
