Let's see how a BMW heated grip can be repaired: we remove the cover, and we see the grip resistance connector. We verify, on the functioning knob, the continuity of the resistance; then on the faulty one. We remove the rubber cover, then check the continuity of the cables and the resistance. We remove the coating to reach the conductor of the resistance. Once we have found the resistance problem, we carry out a small solder to reconnect the two working parts to each other and then we insulate it well with tape to prevent it from being damaged. Now we can put the rubber cover back on and put the knob back in place.
