How to Change the Engine Oil of a BMW F650GS?

To change the engine oil of a BMW F650GS, start by warming up the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid, then turn it off. Position the bike on a centre or side stand for stability. Under the engine, locate the oil drain plug.

Place a container under the plug to collect the used oil. Use a spanner to unscrew the drain plug and allow the oil to fully drain into the container. Once all the oil has drained, replace the drain plug and tighten it securely.

Now, locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine. Remove the cap and use a funnel to slowly pour in the recommended amount of new oil as specified in the owner's manual.

Ensure you do not exceed the maximum level. Once done, replace the filler cap and secure it well.

Check the oil level using the dipstick to ensure it is correct. If necessary, add oil. Finally, start the engine for a few minutes, check the oil level again, and ensure there are no leaks.
