Removing Rear Seats on BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

Manually detach the plastic covers located on the front of the rear seats and remove the four screws (two on each side) that are now exposed. Once done, you can pull the seats out of their mounts and remove the 17 mm bolt that secures the bracket to them. With the seat removed, move on to the seat backs: two 10 mm bolts are located on the sides of the seat backs, towards the bottom. At this point, you can finally start to extract the seat backs by moving anything that obstructs them, such as the seat belts and door seals. Gently detach them, and you're done.
