How to Effectively Clean Your Engine

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Engine

If you plan to clean the most important part of your BMW 5 Series (the engine!), this video is for you. Cleaning under the hood is often overlooked, but dust, grease, and various residues can compromise its efficiency and lead to poor aesthetics. You will need a brush, soapy water, and a degreaser spray designed for cleaning and shining the internal and external parts of the vehicle (silk shine dressing). Start by spraying the soapy water, alternating it with various sprays of the degreaser. Wet all parts of the engine. Begin scrubbing each part with the brush. Alternate many passes with a rag and continuous sprays of soapy water. If possible, use a localized steam jet to clean the hardest-to-reach corners. To make the plastic parts shine, wipe them with a new sponge and the degreaser spray.
