Remove Roof Trim Molding

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

If you need to remove the molding that covers the roof weld on the body, there are two ways to proceed. The first is to open the small access panels above using a screwdriver. You can identify them by the small opening hole designed for a screwdriver. Perform this operation very gently to avoid damaging the body or the underlying seal. From there, you can access the screws underneath. The other method is much quicker and allows you to remove the entire molding in one operation. Using a screwdriver, pry at the end of the molding, lifting upward, and it will come off completely.
