How to reset the settings of a BMW with iDrive6

Go to "My Vehicle", then to "iDrive Settings", from there to "Data Protection", and finally to "Delete Personal Data". You will be asked a second time if you really want to delete the personal data. This will erase the data you have set on your vehicle and the BMW will return to factory settings; after this reset, it will not be possible to use the system for up to fifteen minutes, after which a restart will be necessary.
