Removing the Third Brake Light on BMW 1 Series

How do you remove the third brake light mounted on a BMW 1 Series? Lift the boot to access the plastic cover behind it. Remove the cover from the boot: there are securing screws located behind the panel. Once the cover is removed, unscrew the securing screws at the back of the third brake light. When the rear light is free from any constraints, detach it from the bodywork (disconnect the relevant power connectors). Fit the previously removed light or a new one of the same type if damaged. Replace the light and any damaged bulbs with identical parts in size and voltage.
