How to adjust the handbrake on a Citroen C8

Let's see how to adjust the handbrake on a Citroen C8: make sure the handbrake is in the resting position, then position yourself under the vehicle, in the central rear area. You will find the handbrake adjustment mechanism. The adjustment fitting has a particular shape, which allows it to be locked in position; rotate it 90° to unlock it; this is a crucial step to allow the adjustment. Make sure the lever and cables are well lubricated at the point where they connect; this ensures that the movement is smooth and the adjustment is precise. Move the adjustment lever up and down (the bar is directly connected to the handbrake). Pulling it upwards will tighten the cables. Repeat the operation on both sides of the mechanism. Check the operation from inside the vehicle. If the tension locks the lever after 3/4 "clicks" then the adjustment is successful.
