The pollen filter serves to filter the incoming air into the cabin (which is why it is also called the cabin air filter) and traps pollutants such as pollen, dust, and, with modern carbon filters, even unpleasant odours. In the Dacia Sandero, this component is located on the passenger side, low down near the mat, and is situated in a box protected by a removable plastic cover after unscrewing the securing screw.

The filter in question is very inexpensive, and it is therefore preferable to replace it yourself rather than going to a mechanic.
