Video tutorial

To dismantle the engine of the Derbi GPR 125, loosen all the screws securing the engine block within its housing so that it can be extracted. Once the engine is removed, proceed to unscrew the screws holding the clutch cover, which must be removed by unscrewing its fastening screws.

After the clutch is removed, unscrew the screws securing the semi-cover of the engine on the opposite side, removing it to access the components inside. This will allow you to remove the piston, crankshaft, and any other components.

How to Replace the Piston on a Derbi GPR 125

To replace the piston on a Derbi GPR 125, loosen the bolts securing the cylinder head to its housing, allowing it to be removed along with the valve cover. This will enable you to access the bolts securing the cylinder at the top of the engine, allowing for its complete removal and revealing the underlying piston. The piston can now be freed from its securing bolts, enabling you to position the new piston onto the corresponding conrod. After installation, refit the engine components.
