How to change the motor oil on a DR5

Model: DR 5 MK 1 - Years 2007-2022

In this video we see how to change the oil on a DR5: we will need a complete oil filter with gasket and 4.5 liters of synthetic oil SAE 5W40 or 10W40. We will also need a container to drain the old oil, in order to dispose of it properly at an authorized center; then with a 17mm socket wrench, we will unscrew the oil pan plug. Let's not forget that it is also advisable to replace this component (including the gasket), to avoid leaks or drips later on. Now let's remove the oil filter, a task we do from under the hood. We will need a 27mm socket with an extension rod. Remove the filter and the old gasket from the plug and proceed to change the filter and gasket, lubricating it with some new oil. Also, put the new plug with its gasket on the oil pan. Now we can add the new oil. Let the engine idle for a few minutes and check the oil level again. We can then replace the cover. Task completed.
