How do you replace the air filter of the Ducati Multistrada 1000DS?

In order to replace the air filter of the Ducati Multistrada 1000DS, you need to loosen the screws that secure the seat of the motorcycle to its housing, removing it completely; subsequently, you will also need to detach the side covers of the tank, so that all its screws are visible. By loosening these screws and disconnecting various hoses and connectors, it will be possible to detach the tank from its seat and access the underlying filter; this can be freed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing screws and replacing it with a new one. After the replacement, all the components that were just removed can be reassembled.
