To change the engine oil on a Ducati Monster 900, start by slightly warming up the engine to ensure that the oil is fluid. Make sure the motorcycle is on a flat and stable surface and lift the front part of the motorcycle using a center stand or suitable support. Locate the oil drain plug on the oil pan, usually located on the bottom side of the engine. Place an oil collection container under the drain plug. Unscrew the drain plug and let the old oil drain completely into the collection container. Once the draining is complete, remove and replace the oil filter. Make sure to lubricate the sealing ring of the new filter with engine oil before installing it. Tighten the drain plug with a torque wrench to the specified torque value from the owner's manual. Now, fill the engine with new engine oil, using the recommended oil for the Ducati Monster 900 and checking the level with the oil dipstick. Make sure not to exceed the maximum oil level, and you will have completed the replacement.
