Replacing the front brake pads on an Enfield Bullet 500 is straightforward. Unscrew the two bolts that secure the caliper to the brake disc; you will need a 13 mm spanner for this. Manually pull the caliper off the disc by gently shaking it. Once the caliper is removed, take out the brake pads inside and push back the pistons that hold the pads, possibly using a crowbar. This is necessary because the new pads will be thicker than the ones removed. Refit the caliper onto the disc and tighten the bolts.
