How to manually open the fuel tank of a Fiat 500

If the fuel tank flap of our Fiat 500 does not open, we need to know that there is a manual method to open it from the inside, if necessary. So from inside the trunk, we need to remove the carpet cover located on the side of the fuel tank flap that does not want to open; it is a panel that is only held by clips, so with a plastic spatula and a bit of delicacy, we remove it. This way we expose the rear mechanism of the fuel door. With a flathead screwdriver we lever on the left side and it should open. If it does not work, then we go to the top, where there is a white button: always with the same screwdriver, we apply pressure and then surely the flap will open.
