How to Change the Engine Air Filter in a Fiat Punto

To change the engine air filter on a Fiat Punto, switch off the engine and lift the bonnet. Locate the filter box, generally positioned at the top of the engine compartment and connected to the intake hose. Loosen the screws or release the clips holding the airbox cover, and if it obstructs opening, temporarily disconnect the intake hose. Lift the cover and remove the old filter element from its housing. Before inserting the replacement, clear out dust, leaves, and other debris accumulated inside the box, ensuring they do not fall into the duct. Position the new filter according to the previous one and ensure the edges fit snugly in the housing. Finally, reposition the cover, tighten the fastenings, and reconnect any removed hose.
