Let's see how to remove the armrest from a Fiat Idea/Lancia Musa. You need to remove the adjustment knob, which is usually fixed to the seat pivot. Use a thin screwdriver, inserting it sideways between the knob's plastic parts.

Slightly widen the side parts and pull outward. The knob will detach and come off. Once the knob is removed, position yourself between the armrest and the seat back.

There is a metal pin that fits into a recess. Insert the screwdriver between the main metal and the retaining wire.

Leverage it to pull it out (it is not necessary to remove it completely); just unclip it from the recess. At this point, the armrest can be extracted.
