How to Change the Battery of a Fiat Punto Remote

Changing the battery of the key or remote of a Punto? Here's how to disassemble the Fiat remote. Take the remote and unscrew the screw located at the back. Press the metal key release button. Once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry open the key cover (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the battery holder plastic lifts, then extract it from the key with a small screwdriver. Install the new battery or disassemble the entire contents of the key to replace the cover. After reassembly, test the key's functionality.
