Is the remote key battery flat? Here’s how to change it on a Fiat Punto. Take your ignition key and unscrew the screw located in the key fob housing with a screwdriver. Pry until the battery holder separates; extract the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the battery holder into the key fob cover; screw the securing screw back in. Check the remote key’s proper operation by testing the door lock and unlock buttons. If you encounter any issues, disassemble the remote again.
