Before winter begins, carry out some checks to ensure you can face the season without issues. Start by checking the coolant mixture with antifreeze: use a hydrometer to take some liquid from the reservoir and assess its correct density. Next, clean the battery terminals thoroughly and apply anti-corrosive spray or grease (essential if you drive on snowy roads treated with salt). Add appropriate antifreeze to the windscreen washer reservoir as well. Check the integrity of the wiper blades, the tyre pressure (there's a label inside the door with the correct pressure values), and the wear state: tyres have reference marks to assess tread wear. Finally, check that all bulbs are functioning, especially the fog lights.

How to Connect the Cables to the Battery of the Citroen Xsara Picasso?
