Extracting the transponder will inevitably damage the key shell of your car, so this operation should only be performed if you intend to permanently transfer the transponder to another key. To extract it, use a utility knife to score around the entire edge of the key. This allows you to open the outer shell, revealing the core of the key where the transponder is located. It is near the outer part of the blade and can be removed with your fingers after pushing it outward. Due to its small size, be very careful not to lose it.
