If it happens that when changing gear the knob of the gear lever comes off, a solution must be found to fix it securely again; the knob comes off because the seat of the shaft itself is worn to such an extent that it becomes playful and makes it slide off: the thousand-line seat of the shaft itself must therefore be enlarged in some way by applying a bushing; a quick and economical solution is to use the cap applied to the insulin syringes which have both the right size and the elasticity to be shaped ad hoc; then insert the spring, the cap that acts as a bushing and finally the knob.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
